Our Montagu restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner, welcoming hotel guests, locals and visitors alike. The menu favours familiar South African flavours, seasonal dishes and fresh produce from the Breede River Valley — generous, carefully prepared food made to be enjoyed. The setting changes with the day and the season. Large windows look out over the garden; in summer, you can take a table outside as the iceberg roses come into bloom. When Montagu turns cold, the fireplaces are lit and heartier dishes have their moment.

There is an easy sense of occasion to Charlestons, whether you are celebrating something special or simply going out for a meal. Families are welcome, with a dedicated kiddies’ menu for younger guests.
